This just in...THE BLOG LIVES!

HI, EVERYBODY!

Thanks for coming back to the blog.  We understand your concerns of our possible demise.  With Chris' epic road trip to Colorado and Conor's eternal struggle to balance a full-time job is his life, the blog's content this past week has been more Leaf-like than Manning-like.

While we're on the topic, it's taken me a pretty long time to land any kind of stable job.  With the journalism career being paper-thin, of course I'll have to wait a little longer to see if/when the market for sports writers opens up.  What's the point I'm trying to make?  Well, April is around the corner, and its the time for college seniors to start thinking about graduation.  Don't let the final month or so go by too fast, ok?  Make it count.

In short, fast forward to the :15 mark of this clip.  It's all I gotta say.

I must say, my zest for the NCAA tournament inevitably took a little hit after my bracket exploded last weekend.  I sit here at 7 pm on Saturday, and I have one single team left to cheer for in the tourney.  It helps that it's my predicted champion (Kentucky) but the Wildcats won't do nearly enough to save me in the NY Sport Blog contest.  If Kentucky wins, I may be vaulted from my current spot at #22 into the top-10, but that's all.

Dan Canders earned his way to the top of the standings, nailing six out of the Elite Eight teams.  After Kansas lost, he looked to be sitting pretty with his Ohio State championship pick.  Unfortunately for Mr. Canders, Tennessee had other ideas and eliminated the Buckeyes.  Everyone in the current top-5 had has their champion eliminated, so there is due to be some wacky turnover int he standings as the tournament winds down.  Southern gentleman Ryan Steele is in the driver's seat if his beloved Duke Blue Devils come out as champions.  If Kentucky is the national champion, there's a slew of people in contention to win the contest.  The man currently with the most points who has Kentucky winning is basketball guru....Ryan Reilly??  Madness, I tell you.  Madness.

Check back to the blog this coming week for more tournament coverage, a little bit of hockey here and there, and of course, the NY Sport Blog blowout baseball preview.  Thanks for reading and worry not, we are here to stay.
