And your winner is....

The winner of the inaugural NY Sport Blog playoff contest pick 'em is: Gordon Lerman. With a total of 16 points, Gordon and Zach Stone actually tied, but Gordon's 51 total point over/under put him ahead of Zach's 58 point over/under, and thus Gordon is your winner.

Gordon is a 5'11" former Boston University co-ed intramural football and basketball standout from Gig Harbor, Washington. He wins a $25 gift certificate to Modell's as well as some other truly fantastic side prizes, including a congragulatory voicemail at 10:45 this morning. Gordon also has been invited to write a guest blog.

Some fun facts about our winner, Gordon Lerman:
-He lives approximately 2,700 miles away from the nearest Modell's
-He has an oversized tongue that has helped make him a bright prospect in the world of amateur competitive eating
-He majored in advertising at Boston Univerisity
-In his spare time he enjoys the music of Tupac, collecting free t-shirts, consuming a fascinatingly wide range of condiments, and babes

Here's how the top-10 standings worked out (remember the Super Bowl was worth four points):

1) Gordon Lerman (16 points, 51 total points over/under)
2) Zach Stone (16 points, 58 points over/under)
3) Chris Dooley (15 points)
4) Chris Roberts (15 points)
5) Terrence Regan Sr. (14 points)
6) Miles Thompson (14 points)
7) Conor Reilly (13 points)
8) Jon "The Worst" Seitz (12 points)
9) Dan McShane (12 points)
10) Mickey Herzog (12 points)

Thanks to everyone who played, and keep in mind we'll be doing a bigger and better (like, more money better) NCAA tournament contest come March. Until then, keep reading and keep commenting! Thanks again!

    Zach-

You were the Cinderella story of this contest after your disastrous first week. Unfortunately, you (and the rest of America) thought the Super Bowl was going to be a total shootout, and that stopped the dream. See you in March.
