Playoff Pick 'em contest: Free to enter, winner gets a Modell's gift certificate and a bragging blogpost (if you want)
So we're putting a contest together for the NFL playoffs. And we want you and everyone you know to join.
We couldn't find a bracket-style shindig online anywhere, so I think we're going to have to do this as a round-by-round format. Check out the rules below, it's free to join and everyone is welcome to join.
The rundown:
-Playoff pick 'em- You pick the winner of each playoff game every week (NOT against the spread). Plain and simple.
-Winner will be determined by a total number of points- 1 point for each game picked correctly in the Wild Card round games, 2 points for Divisional round, 3 points for the AFC/NFC championship games and 4 points for the Super Bowl
-I'm brainstorming a tie-breaker with Conor- post suggestions below if you want
-Send picks before kickoff of each round's first game (So this week, by 4:30 Saturday) to nysportblog@gmail.com
-Free to play, anyone and everyone can join, join up by posting a comment below with your name or just by sending us an e-mail at nysportblog@gmail.com
-Leaderboard will be posted on this site every Monday
-Winner gets a $25 Modell's gift certificate and a chance to brag to the world on the site with a blogpost

the easiest and least creative tie breaker would be to guess the final score of the superbowl. or you could arrange 5 or so different prop bets for the superbowl to get bonus points, that will only kick in in the event of a tie at the top.
